Mens 1stXI Promoted to West Midlands Division 1.

Leamington's penultimate game was at home and a break in the weather proved to be the start of Leamington's good fortune for the day.

Leamington had a tough end to the season against a team that were fighting to avoid relegation.

The importance of the Old Silhillian game this week was the decision between securing their position in the league or relegation.

After a gruelling week of hockey, training on the Monday, Facing University of Warwick on the Thursday, Stratford on the Saturday and Edgbaston on the Sunday, the ladies 2nd XI can hold their heads high.

Leamington was put under pressure from the start by top of the division Edgbaston.

13th March Leamington Ladies 4th XI 0 � 4 Edgbaston 5th XI

Leamington 4th XI as usual battled on to play against Edgbaston. Still struggling to find a keeper for the game, Leamington had to play 11 outfielders. This fuelled Edgbaston with the confidence to push harder at the goal. In an attempt to stop the pressure and save a shot Leamington conceded a penalty stroke. Impossible to save without a keeper this compounded the fact that Leamington ladies require a permanent keeper. Edgbaston 5th XI won 4 � 0.

13th March Long Buckby 1st XI 3 - 0 Leamington Ladies 3rd XI

The ladies travelled away to Long Buckby only to come away defeated. Despite the best efforts from joint man of the match Kerry Jones and Olivia Northover the team could not gain an advantage or return any goals.

Leamington travelled to third place Ashby for their last game of the season having already secured promotion and the league title and it was an experimental Leamington line-up that took on Ashby.
